Quality training for a scarce skill that is in very high demand

Thousands of people have acquired various building skills at Tjeka Training Matters’ state-of-the-art training centre in Randfontein, Gauteng, since it commenced operations in 2012.

The company’s plumbing course remains the most popular of the many learning paths available at the facility. This is considering the major strides that have been made by the Institute of Plumbing South Africa (IOPSA) and the Plumbing Industry Registration Board in establishing a clear career path towards becoming a licensed plumber.

“Considering the high demand for plumbers at present, there are more job opportunities available in the profession than most of the other building trades. In addition to the many people who are interested in securing employment in the industry. The course appeals to those individuals who are interested in freelancing the field or launching a small plumbing business. This is despite a relatively higher initial capital outlay for equipment than most of the other trades when starting a business,” Frans Toua, Chief Executive Officer of Tjeka Training Matters, says.
